JOB DESCRIPTION
Our client, a food manufacturer located in Toronto, is looking to add an Accountant to their team!
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
- Full-cycle Accounts Payable
- Preparation of Month-end interim financial statements
- Month-end close with all required journal entries with related account reconciliations/analyses.
- Overview of A/R status
- Coordination of communication with accounting reps of key suppliers/customers
- Charge-backs of customer deductions/ shipping variances
- Monthly reporting to company bankers
- Inventory monitoring in coordination with supply chain group
- Additional duties as assigned
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Post secondary degree/diploma in Accounting or related field
- 2+ years of experience in an accounting position
- Strong knowledge of full-cycle accounting
- Proficiency in accounting software and MS Excel
- Strong communication skills (both oral and written)
- Desire to grow and learn new things related to the accounting field
