A public accounting firm based in North York are in search for an Accounting Technician.

Responsibilities:

Working with clients of all sizes and various industries
Prepare financial statements and compliance tax returns for compilation engagements
Working with clients of all sizes from smaller private companies to large public companies.
Prepare tax returns – HST, GST, T1, T2, T4, T5
Set-up client files, assist with the completion of budgets and complete administrative planning and other aspects of accounting work
Communicate with governments regarding information requests, assessments and installments

2+ years of accounting related experience in a Canadian public accounting firm
Previous experience with file preparation in a public accounting firm
Experience working with accounting and tax software such as CaseWare, Taxprep and QuickBooks
Strong computer literacy including effective working skills of Microsoft Word and Excel
