JOB DESCRIPTION
Our client, an entrepreneurial CPA firm that’s been around for over 35 years, is currently looking to add a Bookkeeping Manager to their growing team!
Managerial roles & responsibilities:
- Responsible for managing a team of 3 or more staff, including conducting performance reviews, training, etc.
- Coordinating and managing workflow and deadlines in a busy bookkeeping division with approx. 40 clients.
- Managing file budgets, staff performance, and training.
- Interface with clients and help coordinate information flow; including ensuring monthly deliverables are provided to clients.
- Attend management meetings and provide reports on the Bookkeeping division.

- Tech-savvy and can quickly learn and adapt to new programs.

- Positive attitude, willing to learn.
- Strong technical skills in CaseWare, QuickBooks, QuickBooks Online, Tax Prep, Excel and Word.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Minimum 5 years’ experience working in a public accounting firm.
- Fully versed in the preparation of weekly, monthly, quarterly financial information, reconciliations, and government filings for a wide number of customers.
- Worked in QBO, Xero and other cloud-based products and QB Desktop.
- Knowledge in Hubdoc, Wagepoint, Plooto, Stripe and Shopify
- Advanced knowledge and experience in working with Excel Pivot tables, V-look-up and Sum if formulas.
- Knowledge in cash-flow projections, budgeting, and financial analysis.
- Experience in Government filings, HST, Payroll, Corporate Instalments, EHT and WSIB.
- Access to transportation for off-site client visits.
- Post-secondary Education – University or College.
